Ron has over 20 years of hands-on experience in executive leadership, sales, operations, strategy, finance and marketing for both start-ups and established companies. Our clients benefit from his history of entrepreneurial success, strategic vision, and aptitude for building and maintaining strong business relationships through trust and negotiation talent. Prior to founding LDD Partners, Ron served as CEO of multiple technology and web development companies, most notably Lead Dog Design, an award-winning full service web development provider that served numerous Fortune 500 clients, including McGraw Hill, The Bank of New York and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Under his leadership Lead Dog Design experienced 100% growth every year for three straight years, earning Ron prestigious recognition as one of Ernst & Young’s top entrepreneurs. After Lead Dog Design was acquired by Iconixx Corporation, one of the top ten largest new media development firms, Ron served as Iconixx Vice President of the Northeast Region before spearheading the reacquisition of Lead Dog Digital and serving as its President/CEO and, ultimately, its Chairman. Lead Dog Digital was eventually acquired by Bridgeline Software [NASDAQ: BLIN]. He is also Co-Founder of Church & State and an investment banker with Brill Securities, and has assisted numerous companies in raising capital.
Ron received his BA in Economics from the State University of New York at Albany and completed various Executive Education classes through The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He holds Series 62, Series 63 and Series 79 licenses.
June Chen, CEO & Managing Partner
June has 10 years of experience in strategic communications for both start-ups and established companies across industry verticals, including biotech, pharmaceutical, finance, insurance, technology, web development and consumer healthcare. Leveraging her strong background in medicine and English, she brings insight, creativity and confidence to clients who are looking for a trusted partner to help them solve business problems and achieve business goals. In her role as CEO, June manages the day-to-day operations of the firm.
Prior to joining LDD Partners, June founded Paperjungle, a content strategy and consulting firm, where her clients included Amgen, Novartis Oncology, Schering-Plough (now Merck), Pfizer, Roche, Morgan Stanley, MetLife and Myriad Genetics. At Paperjungle, she assisted clients with creating business plans, processes and procedures, marketing collateral, websites and microsites, press releases, training and e-learning initiatives, digital communications and internal communications.
June received her BS in English and American Literature and Language with honors from Harvard University and earned her MD from Duke Medical School, before completing an internship in Internal Medicine at Yale University.
Sonny Nguyen, Managing Director
Sonny brings over 10 years of sales and entrepreneurial experience across a diverse range of industries, including healthcare, logistics, wireless and real estate. Our clients benefit from his network, passion and relentless dedication to business development and organizational efficiency. Prior to joining LDD Partners, Sonny served as Managing Partner at Affinity Home Medical, where he drove 100% year-over-year sales growth and spearheaded the opening of a medical equipment and supply retail store in June 2012. He also served as Principal and Sales Manager at Alpine Auto Transporters, an auto transport logistics and custom software systems provider, where he directed company operations and sales. Sonny began his career in wireless, first as a sales representative and then as owner and president of Original Genuine Accessories, a struggling wireless accessories and service store that he led to profitability within 5 months of ownership.
Sonny received his BS in Business Administration from the University of Utah.
Man Lang, Manager, Financial Services
With her strong academic background and multicultural exposure, Man brings an international perspective and a can-do approach to problem-solving for all of our clients. In her role as Manager of Financial Services, Man creates financial models, provides professional bookkeeping services and plays a supporting role across every aspect of the firm. As a native Mandarin speaker, Man also facilitates communications when vetting potential partners or vendors in China.
Prior to joining LDD Partners, Man worked as a Junior Analyst at a New York City-based investment banking firm, where she honed her skills in due diligence research, financial valuation and investor relations. Previously, during a tenure as international ambassador for the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business in Eastern Europe, Man was active in educating global conglomerates such as Johnson & Johnson, Kraft Foods and Subway on the outlook of the Chinese market.
Man graduated with honors from Utah State University with a dual degree in Economics and Finance and earned her Master of Science in Finance from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. She holds a Bloomberg Certification, is completing her QuickBooks certification and is currently a candidate for the CFA Level II exam.
Jeff Mower, Financial Services
Jeff brings extensive hands-on experience in accounting to our start-up and small business clients in need of bookkeeping, payroll and strategic financial services. In his Financial Services role at LDD Partners, Jeff assists our clients with developing and maintaining financial processes, procedures and controls and provides dashboards that give our clients visibility into the fiscal health of their businesses.
Before joining LDD Partners, Jeff worked at Jitasa, a bookkeeping and accounting firm focused exclusively on serving non-profit organizations. There, Jeff rose quickly through the ranks from Accounting Associate to Accountant and gained expertise in non-profit accounting, including grant management, tax filing and audit preparation. During his tenure at Jitasa, Jeff spent a year in Thailand, where he learned conversational Thai, supervised a team of accounting specialists and expanded the firm’s Bangkok office by more than 25% in 6 months.
Jeff received his BA in Marketing Communication from Brigham Young University and earned both his Master of Science in Accountancy and his Master of Health Science from Boise State University.
Steve Peterson, Advisor
Over the last 25 years, Steve has successfully capitalized on investment opportunities with his seasoned operational experience, in-depth market understanding, innovative business thinking, and prudent investment practices. Our clients benefit from his expertise in analysis and acquisition, entitlement, vertical development, and property management. Steve co-founded Millrock Capital, and is currently an Owner and General Partner of Millrock Park, a 490,000 square foot office development that won the ‘Best of State’ award for Community Development. In addition to developing over $150 million of residential and commercial properties throughout the Western United States, Steve also founded and served as the President of American International Systems (A.I. Systems), a leading technology independent systems integrator. In 2001, he profitably sold his company to RAND Worldwide, one of the world’s leading providers of professional services and technology to the engineering community.
Steve holds a BA in Business Administration from Utah State University, and currently serves on the Founders Board at the Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business.
